With more than $1.4 million distributed to participating New Zealand schools since the launch of its MySchool programme, OfficeMax is delighted to announce it is now providing customers with the option of earning either rewards for themselves or rewards for their local school with every purchase.
OfficeMax General Manager (Education), Dr Suzanne Flannagan, said that the company was delighted to have made such a contribution, all while maintaining its lowest price guarantee.
“OfficeMax is now giving its customers shopping with cash or credit card the option to earn rewards for their local schools through MySchool, or alternatively register for OfficeMax Rewards to reward themselves with a quarterly credit – the choice is theirs,” she said.
“With so many of our customers also being parents and grandparents of school-aged children, the option to give to schools is the result of customer demand.
“Schools have really enjoyed the flexibility of MySchool, and have put the rewards to good use. Parents have really enjoyed the ease of the programme and the assurance of receiving best price in the market – it’s been an all ‘round win.
“The programme is really going from strength to strength and in April we gave back more than $400,000 to New Zealand’s schools – this is our biggest contribution in a single year.
“Now there is even more potential to help schools raise funds, simply by having customers making their usual purchases and opt to donate to the MySchool programme at point of purchase,” Dr Flannagan said.
Raising money for your local school is easy and can be done online, in store or via use of the OfficeMax freephone number. To see how to earn rewards for your local school through MySchool, or to reward yourself through OfficeMax Rewards, simply go to officemax.co.nz for more information.
The MySchool programme is just one way that OfficeMax gives back to local schools and communities. Its A Day Made Better programme recognises New Zealand’s exceptional primary and intermediate school teachers and Max e Grants provides funds for disadvantaged children.
