Links between home and early childhood education programmes are important and we’d like to play our part, so we've provided three easy to follow crafts for you to do with children for this Mother's Day!
Mother’s Day Bookmark
Products required:
- Popsicle Sticks
- Paint
- Glitter
- Glue
- Beads
- Foam Shapes
Steps to follow:
- Decorate the popsicle stick ‘stem’ with paint, glitter and beads
- Use the foam shapes to create a flower
- Glue the foam shape flower to the top of the decorated stem
- Let the bookmark dry, then you have the perfect gift for Mother’s Day!
Mother’s Day Crown
Products required:
- Card
- Pom Poms
- Sequins
- Paint
- Glitter
- Glue
Steps to follow:
- Cut and stick card together to create the desired shape and length
- Create patterns with pom poms, sequins, glitter and paint
- Let your crown dry
- Fasten ends together to create the perfect crown for Mum!
‘You are my sunshine’ Card
Products required:
Steps to follow:
- Use paint to create a circle on two pieces of card
- Surround the circle with handprints to create a sun
- Staple together to create a card (half the sun on the front, half on the back)
- Title the card ‘You are my sunshine’
- Let the paint dry, then write a special Mother’s Day message on the inside!
